7 Weeks!!

Today is 7 weeks! I'm half way through the first trimester! We are headed to Lake Powell and I'm a little nervous to see my bloat in a swimming suit, but at least it makes me feel a little more pregnant :)

Here's my 7 week picture:

So far most of my clothes are still fitting although they get a little tight by the end of the night. Thank goodness that everything I own is low-rise.

What's baby up to?

This is what baby looks like this week!

This week baby is about the size of a tic-tac and as heavy as and eyelash! His/Her arms and legs are starting to form this week too!

Have a great week!!

Shopping for baby...

Although I haven't started shopping for me yet, I know 4 other ladies who are pregnant right now, so I've been stocking up with cute things for gifts :)

I came across a website called Totsy.com. It's a flash sale website with cute baby items at up to 70% off. Sales last a few days so there is plenty of time to shop and they plant a tree for every purchase made. I sent some of you a referral...sign up through me and it will give me more money to spend on your little ones :)

I plan on visiting often, which I'm sure my bank account won't like...but I love sales!!

PS...you can find coupon codes on retailmenot...right now use BABBLE15 for 15% off your purchase!!

Introducing Baby P!!

It's been a long week, while waiting for our ultrasound today. But, I am thrilled to show you....Sweet Baby P

Little one is measuring at 7 weeks. However they have kept my due date the same...so save the date...Februrary 12, 2011
Little one's heartbeat was strong and regular and beating around 120-130 based on the doctor's estimate.

How I've been feeling:
So far I've been doing ok, I've been having daily boughts of nausea happening a couple times a day, but nothing that I can't deal with.
I've been having random cravings. Today on my way home from the appointment I decided I needed Doritos...we didn't have any so I drove the store just to get some :)

I realized I never got my 6 week picture up, so I will make sure to get my 7 week one up tomorrow!!

5 Weeks!!

We had an awesome trip to Vegas over the weekend for Nikki's 21st Birthday. It was such a fun trip, but also a hard one. It killed me not tell everyone all weekend (and the fake drinking was hard too) but I'm glad we did.  Vegas is always a blast, we had a great time hanging out with our families. We did a little gambling, had an awesome dinner, and sat poolside all day yesterday. We can't wait to go back!

I was 5 weeks on Saturday and thankfully the bloating wasn't too bad all weekend. It has however, came out in full force today!

I'm still feeling pretty good, just super tired and bloated. I go in for my first appointment on Thursday. They'll run some bloodwork and go over medical history so nothing super exciting. But it will help pass the time until our ultrasound on the 25th.

Here is my picture from today 5w2d.... (please ignore the awful hair and lack of makeup)

4 Weeks!!

With pregnancy tests so sensitive these days, we found out early, so at this stage there are some women who don't even know they are pregnant yet. We have known for 5 days. I am happy to get to 4 weeks and as Ryan has said I am now a tenth of the way through my pregnancy!

So far I have been lucky with symptoms, I know it's early so I'm trying to enjoy it while I have it. I have been extremely tired (thank goodness for napping babies) and am enjoying a little bloatedness (and yes, I did just make that a word). Other than that I feel pretty good. It's so hard not to share our news with our family and friends, but I really do want to wait until after our appointment. I'm pretty sure I can make it.

So far I have taken 3 tests and I plan to take another one tomorrow...then I'm going to stop...promise :) After all, I don't have any more left!

What is Sweet Baby P up to this week? Our little one is now the size of a poppy seed and getting nice and cozy in it's new home for the next 9 months!!

As for me....here's my 4 week picture. Not much to look at, but this is for comparison purposes.

I love my job!!

This post is mostly so I can remember what happened yesterday and it can eventually go in a baby book. You might see some of these posts from time to time, so I hope you don't mind. This is one of the sweetest things that has ever happened or been said, so I know it needs to be shared!

I was wanting to wait as long as possible to tell everyone, and as I write this our families don't even know. But, since we have Kaiser insurance I have to have two appointments within a week of each other, both requiring me to take off work early, and since I can't just leave work (someone has to watch the babies) I knew I needed to let Stacey and Ayelet know. I was thinking of fun ways to tell them and decided to have the big kids tell them. So we practiced all day saying "Danielle has a baby in her belly." I was working with Eliana at snack and she said that she wanted to see the baby. So I lifted up my shirt and told her the baby was in my belly. She then put her hand on my belly and said "Oh, she's so beautiful!" It was the cutest thing ever! So apparently Eliana thinks we are having a girl, we'll see if she's right.

Holy Positive Pregnancy Test!!!

After returning from a wonderful trip to the Lake of the Ozarks with my family, I wasn't feeling quite right. I wasn't late, but had a feeling I might be pregnant. I took a test this morning and this is what I got....

Surprise!! I could hardly believe it!

I have always dreamed of fun ways to tell Ryan we were expecting, but I did none of them today. He was still sleeping, so I woke him up and told him I needed him to look at something. I then preceeded to shove the test in his face. It took him a minute to get it, but I will never forget his sleepy-eyed smile. I needed him to make sure I wasn't making up a line, since it was pretty early. But it was there and kept getting darker. Today has been crazy. I'm still in shock!! Good thing the "babies" aren't able to catch on...I have a feeling we'll all be taking naps in a few days!
I have made all of my appointments. Our first ultrasound is June 25th! Can't wait to see Sweet Baby P. Until then I'm hoping and praying for the healthy development of our Little One!

Baby Blog!

I set up this blog so that "you" (my family and friends) can share along in this journey even though I live so far away! Please feel free to pass it along to anyone you think might want to read it! I'll be doing weekly or bi-weekly updates with photos and milestones. I can't wait to share this journey with you!!
