Last Saturday we headed over to watch Taylor and Devon and have a Broncos party. Everyone was decked out in their Broncos gear and we watched the game (as best you can with a 4, 2, and 7 month old). We had Broncos cupcakes with super staining blue icing (just ask Lindsay) and we had a great time taking pictures and goofing around....
Brinley and Devon also had their first of many collisions. Leaving two crying kiddos, a bruised cheek and a bump on Miss Brinley's head :)
It's finally Ryan's favorite time of the year...football season! We talked about when would be a good time to take Brinley to her first game and decided a pre-season game would be warmer and not as loud. So Saturday night we got the family tickets and I'm not sure I've ever seen Ryam so excited to take Brinley anywhere. He talked about it all week and we searched high and low for the perfect outfit for the game, he even went to Hobby Lobby to buy a headband :)
Although we weren't able to find a shirt on our own Ryan's grandpa bought Brinley an adorable "My First Broncos Shirt" it's a few sizes too big so Mommy got creative and made an adorable outift...if I do say so myself :) A big thanks to David, Mandi, and Braden for the adorable bow...I think it looks so adorable, she'll be wearing it every week!
We are super lucky to have such great tickets for the season and Brinley got up close and personal with the field!
The moment I found out I was pregnant a million things started running through my mind. Amoung those thoughts was family traditions. Would we have any, what did we have to pass on, how could I make our own traditions. My head still spins when I think of the holidays and how I want to handle them with my family being out of town and how we can incorporate our own new family traditions. The thought of the holidays is enough to through me into a panic as I try to do what's best for everyone involved. But as I worried about that, a small milestone quickly approached, Brinley's Half Birthday.
Should we do something? Would it just be another day? Is this a family tradition we could start and keep up with? With my parents and Miranda coming into town I decided we would do something for her half birthday. We called our favorite cake place and Ryan picked up a small personalized cake for us to celebrate with.
Apparently Blogger doesn't want to show you the picture the right way....
And so, our first family tradition was born. From this day forward Brinley and each of her future siblings will each have their very own half-birthday celebration. I'm so excited to have our very own family tradition!
Here are a few more pictures of our "Happy Half-Birthday" Celebration....
