Almost Wordless Wednesday :)

It's a video! You have to ignore my singing voice...if she wasn't so dang cute in the video, there would be no way I would share it!! (if you want to spare yourself you can mute it and just watch the smiles)

"You Are My Sunshine" is a song very dear to my heart, I have fond memories of my Grandma and Grandpa singing it me when I was younger. I started singing it to Brinley as soon as she was born, and the first time she smiled while I sang it I cried and when she smiles like she did today it still brings tears to my eyes.

Babies, Babies, Everywhere!!

What happens when 3 of your close friends all get married within 8 months of each other? You all end up having babies within 5 months of each other! At our open house on Sunday, Brinley got to meet some of her friends for the first time (and so did Mommy). It was so fun being pregnant at the same time and now that all the babies are here I know the real fun has only just begun!
Brinley met her friends Adeline (almost 7 months), Madelyn (10 weeks), and Weston (8 weeks). Of course the Mommies needed a ton of pictures here's just a few of the millions I caught with my camera!

Brinley's 1st Trip Home!

This past weekend we made our first trip home. It was a super busy weekend, but we loved every second of it. Brinley was baptized on Saturday night at the same church we were married in.
Like I said in the previous post, she wore a gown that has been in our family since the late 1800's. It's a beautiful dress with lace and she looked adorable in it.
Brinley did great at church and only made a peep when they poured the water on her head. She has four Godparents, my sisters (Alli and Miranda) and our close friends Ryan and Cassie. After her baptism we went to DiCarlos for dinner and then back to the house to hang out! It was a great day!

Wordless Wednesday...

This needs a little explanation. Brinley was baptized last Saturday. She wore a gown that has been in our family since the late 1800's!

Brinley's Newborn Pictures

We have an amazing photographer, Tina at www.sandsoftimephotos.com. She has done some amazingly cute pictures for our niece and nephew and for the little ones I used to watch. I was excited to use her for Brinley's newborn pictures. I had the date scheduled for months, but Brinley decided to come a little early and Tina was working in Hawaii so we didn't get the pictures done as early as I had wanted, but I still love them!
Brinley decided she wanted to stay awake for almost the entire session, so we also couldn't get some of the pictures that I had wanted. She was a little stinker :)

One Month!!

I can't believe it's been a month already! Time is flying by...I wish it would slow down! I am loving this stage, and although I know each stage just gets better I love this newborn stage!

Just this week she has started smiling on purpose. It's such an amazing feeling to see her smiling! As you saw in the Wordless Wednesday video, Brinley really turns on the charm when she's on her changing table and for that reason our diaper changes seem to take forever these days. She's also loving her swing and activity gym (and I think she'd like it even more if I could remember to buy the poor girl some batteries!)

I'm not sure if you can tell by these pictures but Brinley is really starting to chunk up, Ryan even  noticed a new leg roll today while changing her diaper. By our scientific measurments she's around 9lbs 6ounces.

We have a busy few weeks coming up! Brinley has her first playdate on Saturday and then next week we are headed home for her Baptism and Open House...we can't wait to see everyone! I just hope she does well on the plane!
