A Thanksgiving Note From Brinley Grace....

Hi, everyone it's me Brinley...you know the star of this blog??!?! Mommy has decided to let me have the reigns for this post, and I promise not to let you down. Apparently today is something called "Thanksgiving" I'm not really sure what that means, but Mommy keeps telling about it anyways. Yesterday, Mommy kept following me around with a camera, she told me she was taking pictures of things I am thankful for. I kept thinking about what I'm thankful for and I've come up with my list, Mommy is including pictures so you have something to look at :)

And here we go....

#1 I'm thankful for my Mommy and Daddy, I'm thankful for my Mommy who spent 36 hours in labor just to bring me into the world. I'm also thankful for my Daddy who always lets me do things Mommy won't :)

#2 I'm thankful for my Grandmas, Grandpas, Aunts and Uncles and cousins...they spoil me rotten and I them for that
(side note Mommy, we need pictures of me with Daddy's side of the family!!)

#3 I'm thankful for my blankie and paci....man I love these things :)

#5 I'm thankful for fingers foods, peek a boo in the mornings and nap, and bath time.

Brinley's Pictures....

I posted about a month ago that a friend of mine, Mindy at Mindy Renee Photography, took some pictures of Brinley. We had planned an adorable outdoor photo shoot with balloons, orchard baskets and antique chairs in a field. But at the end of September the weather decided to change our plans. We ended up with a photo shoot at my parents house and I think the pictures turned out so cute!

Wordless Wednesday....

Brinley is going to LOVE Christmas....

Brinley Grace is 9 months!!

Ok, so she actually turned 9 months almost two weeks ago and these pictures have been on my camera since then, but we've been busy and the blog has been neglected.

Brinley has blossomed over the last few weeks...I swear she hit 9 months and turned into super Brinley hitting milestone after milestone! Here is a list of her favorite things and milestones...

Favorites:

- boxes, wrapping paper, anything noisy
- dancing if ANYTHING has a beat the girl will dance
- her blanky she's obsessed and it's so cute!
- grinding her teeth (this makes Mommy cringe and she thinks it's funny)
- bath time...take the girl in the bathroom and she gets so excited baths are her favorite
- making messes...with anything any everything she can find
- favorite foods: black beans, rice, cheese, avacados, banana, cottage cheese, Mum Mums

Milestones:

- clapping
- crawling...in her own army crawl way
- screaming...oh the screaming she has new nickname...she's my little pterodactyl (ps who knew it was spelled like that...not this girl...thank goodness for google :) )
- sitting herself up by from the laying position

She's such a blessing and I love her more and more each day. She makes me so happy and I'm so lucky to be her Mommy.....

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Saturday was Ryan's 28th birthday! We had a busy weekend planned with dinners and cake. Brinley did her best to start Daddy's birthday off right by sleeping in until 10am! The little stinker only sleeps until 8 for me...but for Dad it's 10 :)
You think that would be present enough for a "new" Dad, but Brinley didn't stop there. She pulled out all the tricks in her bag and decided Daddy's birthday was the best time to finally utter those precious words "Da Da", Ryan was thrilled and so was I. I had been working with her all week to try to get her to say "da da" since she has been saying "ma ma" for months. I was so excited to hear that she finally said it and now she' s a non-stop "da da" machine!

Here are a few pictures of Brinley "helping" Ryan open his cards and gifts. It was a glimpse into our Christmas future and I can't wait..she loved the wrapping paper and cards...Christmas is going to be a blast!!
