Wordless Wednesday....What happens when Daddy feeds Brinley

I'm breaking the Wordless rules...
Yesterday I came home from work and found Ryan feeding Brinley sweet potatos...this is what Brinley looked like....

It was EVERYWHERE! In her hair and ears and up her nose! She; however, was having a blast spitting out her food and blowing raspberries that sent sweet potato flying!
Needless to say after dinner came this....

Friends....

Yesterday Brinley and I watched Clayton while his Mommy and Daddy were at work. Brinley loves Clayton and I think he's pretty fond of her too! On Saturday when we all got together Brinley was laughing like crazy at Clayton and the baseball he was playing with. She's easy to please :)

Mmmm....Food!

Miss Brinley is extremely intersted in food. I'm pretty sure she'd like anything I gave her...but we're not there yet. For now its oatmeal and baby food. So far we've had avacado and sweet potatos. Up next peas and green beans. Then we'll start fruits. I have been making my own and I'm loving it! It's super easy and super cheap! I bought one .72 sweet potato and I made 8 3oz containers of food! I can't wait to experiment more and have a freezer stocked with baby food!

Water Baby....

I have been dying to get Brinley into the pool. Both Ryan and I love the water and it's important to us that Brinley love and feel comfortable in the water as well. She loves the bath, but until this week we had yet to get her in an actual pool. My mom came back with us from Vegas so we thought this would be the perfect time to attempt  our first pool visit. The water was the perfect temperature and Brinley was in a good mood (tired, but happy).

I won't go as far as to say she loves the water, but she didn't hate it. She was perfectly content the entire time and seemed to really like her floaty. I'm hoping for a better reaction next time when she isn't so sleepy.

My mom took some pictures for us so both Ryan and I could get in the pool....

Fun with Eliana!

A few weeks ago Ryan, Brinley and I watched Eliana for the evening. We had a great time eating the the burrito place (Qdoba) and getting ice cream. We adore Eliana and she adores Brinley. Here are a few pictures from our photo shoot....

Brinley Grace is 5 months!!

Ok, so technically Brinley is 5 1/2 months, but life has been busy and we haven't had internet for the last two weeks...so I'm just now getting around to making the post.

We are one month away from 6 months...holy crap I can't believe it! Life needs to slow down!
Brinley's personality has really blossomed this month. She is chatting up a storm and is really laughing (she pretty much smiles and laughes at anything and everything!)

Things she loves this month:

-drinking out of big girl cups
- chewing on anything she can get to her mouth
- oatmeal, she now refuses to eat rice cereal
- rolling around the room, nothing is safe anymore
-blowing raspberries

She weighs somewhere around 14.5 pounds and we need to get her measured sometime soon. She's really starting to gain weight, which makes me happy! Hopefully we'll gain some percentage points next appointment!

Wordless Wednesday....A New Obsession
