Free Diapers??

My baby girl is doing this....

So I have time to blog! I have been wanting to share about my newest obsession for a few weeks, but haven't had the time. So with Brinley quietly taking a nap, I'd thought I'd pass along this great money saving tip for all my fellow mommies!

I was told about Amazon Mom from a blog I follow. Haven't heard of it? Go here to sign up Amazon Mom. With this program you will receive 30% off diapers and wipes with subscribe and save, plus you get Amazon Prime benefits (Free 2-day shipping!!).
What does this mean for you? It means free, or almost free diapers and wipes. Amazon carries all the name brands (Pampers, Huggies, Luvs, Seventh Generation).

Here's how you get the free or cheap diapers and wipes...
Have you seen these in your magazines? (Parenting, Baby Talk, Fit Pregnancy, etc)

If so, treasure these like they're gold (seriously, or give them to me :) )
There are 3 different kinds: ones that start with YT, YJ, and the most important $10 off any baby store purchase.
The best part? You can use all three of them on one order (that's how you get the free diapers)!

Today I bought these diapers for Brinley

Pampers Baby Dry Diapers Economy Plus Pack, Size 1, 252 Count by Pampers

                                            Buy new: $42.99 ($0.17/count)

Here's what I paid out of pocket: $0...that's right...they were free to me deliverd to my door by Wednesday. Here's how I did it (and how you can do it with any diapers sold by Amazon that are eligible for Amazon Prime and Subscribe and Save):

1. Click on the diapers you want and click on a delivery time (we'll address this later). I always pick 3 months.
2. Once in your account you will see the 30% off price reflected
3. Then add your Amazon codes...here's what my order looked like today:

Subtotal of Items: $42.99
Shipping & Handling: $0.00
Promotion Applied: -$8.60 (20% YT coupon)
Promotion Applied: -$10.00 ($10 baby store coupon)
Promotion Applied: -$8.60 (20% YJ coupon)
Promotion Applied: -$12.90 (automatic 30%)
Your Coupon Savings: -$2.00 (Amazon coupon, available for everyone)
------
Total: $0.89
Gift Cards: -$0.89 (part of my free $5 gift card from Swagbucks (still haven't signed up?...click the link and get started! I've earned $70 in free Amazon gift cards since October!)
------
Total for this Order: $0.00

The best deal comes when you have all three, but you don't have to have all three to make a good deal! Everything depends on the price of the diapers. Last week I got 124 Newborn diapers for free using one 20% off code and one $10 code.

Now...to get the 30% off you have to sign up for subscribe and save. But, even though you get  cheap or free diapers the first time, you won't get the price if you keep the subscribe and save going. So after your order has shipped, log into Amazon and cancel your order (but wait until it ships or it will cancel your current order). Then next time you are ready to order you can just do the same process to get the great deal. There is no limit to how many times you can sign up and cancel subscribe and save.

Amazon also has cheap wipes! You can't use the 20% off coupons on wipes but you can use the $10 codes. On Saturday I ordered 648 Huggies Natural Wipes for $4.22. They were still free for me because of my Swagbucks gift cards. Here's what my order looked like:

Subtotal of Items: $20.31
Shipping & Handling: $0.00
Promotion Applied: -$10.00 ($10 Amazon code)
Promotion Applied: -$6.09 (30% subscribe and save discount)
------
Total: $4.22
Gift Cards: -$4.22
------
Total for this Order: $0.00

I am now obsessed with getting diapers for free! I thought I was doing good when I was stacking coupons at Target and getting packages for $3....

If you have any questions, I'll do my best to answer them! Happy Shopping!!

Brinley Grace is 2 weeks old!!

Tomorrow is Brinley's 2 week birthday!

We've been busy this week! Brinley had her 2 week appointment yesterday. She was a champ! She's now 8lbs 2oz and 20 3/4 inches long! After her appointment we visited Alex and Jake for a play date. It was so much fun, Alex and Jake adore her and it was so fun to see them interact with her. Stacey and Gregg made us dinner and we enjoyed an evening hanging out and watching Finding Nemo.

Today we had Brinley's newborn pictures taken. She did great, even though she refused to sleep and miss the party. We only got one set of pictures while she was sleeping, but Tina brought tons of adorable props and I can't wait to see how they turned out!
We also took our first family outing tonight, Mommy and Daddy needed to get out of the house so we took Brinley to the mall and walked around. It was nice to get out and it was such a great feeling to be out and about with MY family...it was awesome.

We are looking forward to this week too, because Aunt Alli is coming to visit! It will be great to hangout with her for a few days and Brinley can't wait to meet her.

Here are a few pictures of Brinley through out the week:

She already has Daddy wrapped around her little finger!

Brinley's Due Date!

Yesterday was Brinley's due date. Instead of being huge, uncomfortable, and anxious...I was busy loving on this precious angel....

Brinley has been adjusting well to life at home. She's awake more and more (unless visitors are here...then she's out). She's sleeping well at night, although she seems to think 5 am is play time (we are really hoping this is a phase...and thankfully she does eventually go back to sleep).
It's been so nice having Ryan home the last few days and I'll sure miss his help when he goes back to work on Monday.

Here are just a few more pictures of Brinley....

It's Baby Time!!!

I'm sitting in the hospital as I write this! I can't believe it's finally time!

I've been having contractions since 3pm yesterday. Throughout the evening they were about 3-6 minutes apart. We went to the hospital around midnight only to be sent home because my cervix wasn't co-operating (figures right?!). My contractions were still coming every 3-6 minutes and lasting around 60-90 seconds.

They continued at that rate through this morning. They started coming every 3 minutes consistantly....then finally around 2:30 my water broke!

I'm doing well...thanks to the epidural. 27 hours of consistant contractions was really getting to me. Now I'm hoping to get some rest for the long adventure ahead.

I'll try to keep everyone posted as best as possible.
